Improved Geography.

August 3, 2006

There are some places on this globe of ours that are so temperate, and so beautiful, that their uplifting power exceeds my ability to be negative. Hawaii is such a place. It’s been called paradise so many times that it’s trite. It also happens to be true. The only people I know in my life who had a bad time here had the misfortune of being here during a hurricane.

What makes it so great? The weather is astonishing for one thing. It’s warm and breezy without being windy. There are mountains and ocean and beaches. The trees and birds are all exotic. It’s a place of discovery and every time I come here, I find something else I like about it.

Could I live here? Absolutely. Will I live here, probably not for a very long time.
